Steely Dan Godwhacker Drum Groove Short Video And Notation
Here is a quick breakdown of a fabulous groove by the amazing Keith Carlock. Broken 16ths and a ghost note pattern. Be careful on the rebound note after the snare beats on 2&4 as it has to match the other ghost notes.
R&B Style Funk Shuffle Groove (intermediate/advanced)
Here’s a nice little pattern I’ve been experimenting with lately, it’s broken 16th pattern(1ean) with a busy ghosting pattern on the left. You can play it straight as well and try different phrases with the kick.
